After a big split decision victory at UFC Vegas 43, Adrian Yanez was called out by one of the most notable names in the division — Sean O’Malley.
Sean O’Malley Calls Out Adrian Yanez
Yanez (15-3) made a name for himself and earned a UFC contract after a 39-second TKO victory over Brady Huang at a 2020 Contender Series event. Since that win, Yanez has won four in a row, with three of those coming via knockout. Most recently, at UFC Vegas 43, the 27-year-old battled to a split decision victory against Davey Grant.
O’Malley tweeted out googly eyes immediately following Yanez’s fight.

O’Malley (14-1) has fought twice in 2021 and earned stoppage victories in both. In March, ‘Sugar’ earned a round three TKO stoppage against the always dangerous Thomas Almeida. He followed that up with a gritty performance against late replacement, Kris Moutinho. In that bout, O’Malley stopped Moutinho late in the third round via referee stoppage.
A bout between two fighters that are very close to a top 15 ranking would be very intriguing.
