He is ‘The Samoan Submission Machine’ Samoa Joe
Long-time fan-favorite Samoa Joe is finally living what some people in the business would call the dream. He has quickly risen up the ranks of the WWE and has now secured himself a shot at the WWE Universal Championship.
Ater becoming the NXT Champion about a year into his tenure with the brand, Samoa Joe made his main roster debut on RAW this past January, aligning with Triple H, and attacking Seth Rollins. The next week he made his in-ring debut and beat “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns.
Fast forward to June. Joe was involved in a fatal five-way match with former champions Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, and Bray Wyatt. In a pretty shocking end, Joe locked in a Coquina Clutch on Finn Balor, putting him to sleep in the process. Thus, winning the match, solidifying himself as #1 contender, and setting up a dream match in the process. The next night on RAW, Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch on Brock Lesnar’s manager Paul Heyman.
The win at Extreme Rules sends Joe to WWE’s newest pay-per-view; WWE Great Balls of Fire on July 9th where he will take on the beast known as Brock Lesnar. It is a massive match that has the potential to be everything the fans’ could have been hoping for, but, due to Lesnar’s recent track-record, there is always the risk of this being another fie minutes (at best) Lesnar squash match.
I think everyone would agree in saying that we all hope that is the not the latter.
Erick Lypen
Well to start things off I have never been good at writing. When I was a kid in school I have always failed reading and writing and still is today. I have went to college recently and have failed the writing again and took time off to hone these skills. I think wrestling and having a wrestling group to write for is what has helped me become a good writer today. My Name is Erick Lypen I am born in 1993 and not a moment goes by that I watch Wrestling, I love it all. I love Independant Wrestling more than any other, because the success you watch with the struggle to a success in another company is what wrestling is all about for me.
